Katherine Fisher 2/11/2018 6:18 PMFinal day of the challenge, but I am going to do my best keep things going even when it is done. This was a great opportunity to reflect on the little changes I can make to live a more sustainable life. -
Katherine Fisher 2/10/2018 6:20 PMI spent lots of time walking today, even though it was quite rainy at times. I walked to Mom's Organic Market to get some groceries, and also walked around campus this evening in the eerie but cool fog. I ate plenty of organic veggies today, and also bought organic groceries while I was at MOM's including oats, cereal, eggs, and ground ginger. -
Katherine Fisher 2/09/2018 8:12 PMHow to be (almost) zero waste going to a track meet for the whole day:
-Pack your lunch and dinner (organic ;) ) in reusable containers
-Resist temptation at the Wegman's stop- go in to fill your water bottle but don't buy anything in disposable containers or plastic bags
-Save your race numbers to decorate the back of your door rather than throwing them out right away (hope this counts...)
Reflecting on the day, I now recall that I had my pre-race LUNA bar in a wrapper and threw it out- darn it! Next time I will bring the Luna wrapper back with me and dispose in the special bins at MOM's Organic Market.
So close. -

Katherine Fisher 2/06/2018 1:20 PMEnergy: I make sure to only plug electronics in when they need to be charged, and unplug them when they are fully charged (phone, laptop, etc.). -
