All of my challenges are now just morphing into healthy daily habits I don't even think twice about doing or not doing. It has become more natural for me to recycle, eat cleaner, only buy food and bring my own bags to the grocery store. As well as bring my own coffee mug places as to avoid using plastic and bringing my own metal fork and knife with me!

This past week being home at my parents house did bring some difficulties in staying true to my various challenge goals. Some were successful through the week and unfortunately some were not. But I got the opportunity to teach my parents about ways to be more sustainable and how they can easily help the environment by just simply making some small changes to their daily lives. It was a learning experience for us all!

That is a great way to start. I have also been trying to educate my parents on some ways they can be more sustainable. Over the last 4 years they have definitely made a lot of improvements in being more sustainably conscious.

Choosing to eat organic has honestly made such a difference in how i feel physically! it was hard at first to find a grocery store that has mostly organic that isn't way over priced but OB People's Market on Sunset Cliffs and Voltaire in Ocean Beach has such a great selection that is very decently priced. I go there almost everyday now! they are also an all vegan grocery store except for some diary products!

using reusable containers to take my lunch and snacks with me around campus has actually been so nice. I just pack everything at the beginning of my day then i don't have to think about what ill be eating the whole day and have to worry about accumulating trash!

That's amazing Catie!  I haven't gone there, although I do do short showers and sometimes "navy" showers. But I do like hot water! :-)

That's great, Catie!  Note that if you ever get to Starbucks or Pete's without your own cup, you can ask for a ceramic cup (assuming you are consuming the coffee there!)
